“I began appraising property as a lending officer with Wachovia Bank in the mid 70″s. Carried this on into the Real estate Business when I started with Don Brock Realty in 1977. In 1993 the Government required we be licensed. I took 120 hours of courses and had to pass a state exam. At that point I became licensed as a North Carolina Certified Residential Appraiser with a number assigned to me of A1308. My specialty is Residential Real Estate in Carteret County NC. We appraise adhering to the NATIONAL UNIFORM STANDARDS OF APPRAISAL PRACTICE known as USPAP. We are required to use a standardized form. I think the advantage I have as an appraiser is the fact I am also a Realtor: listing and helping people buy Real Estate which keeps me constantly updated on the market and trends.”
